9 years after receiving my simultaneous pancreas and transplant wear and tear caused the development of an incisional hernia that needed correcting. Due to the position of my new organs in my abdomen, Mr Dutta was the only surgeon that I had seen that was both confident and competent enough to help me out. Mr Dutta was clear about what the surgery would involve and what to expect during recovery giving me several options that he would consider whilst performing the procedure in order for the outcome to be successful. During my 5 day stay in hospital, Mr Dutta was very attentive of me and even showed me internal pictures of my surgery so I could see exactly what had been undertaken which I was very appreciative of. The long time I had to wait in order for the surgery to be performed was well worth it to make sure that the right man for the job was able to work his magic!

Mr Dutta is a true gentleman with the most caring bedside manner. After an examination he confirmed that I had a Inguinal Hernia and proceeded to explain the procedure that he would carry out to repair the Hernia, his description was easy to understand and any fears that I had were quickly forgotten. On my return for the operation, once again his bed side manner soothed my journey through the initial pre op procedures and waking up after the anaesthetic he visited me to say that the operation was a complete success. My compliments to Mr Dutta his Anaesthetist and all the staff at the Woodthorpe Hospital I had my final check up with Mr Dutta yesterday 15th Jan 2024 and he made me feel like an old friend.

Yes I would just like to state that Mr.Dutta is a no. One surgeon.i had multiple hernia repair surgery in the great hand s of Mr. Dutta and was very pleased with the results as I was very anxious Abut the surgery as it was a bit complex but the reinsurance from Mr. Sam Dutta was excellent and I cannot thank him enough.He is not a just good Surgeon,nice person as well and please be assured you are always in safe hands with Mr.Sam Dutta.He is a super star!! Also the anesthetist was amazing and God bless them all.

On 23/10/2023 I had a consultation meeting with Mr Dutta at Woodthorpe Hospital concerning a troublesome Inguinal Hernia . He immediate put me at ease with his friendly, confident manner. After examination, clearly very knowledgeable, he gave me a complete lowdown in laymen's terms on the procedure and all it entailed. I was happy to proceed with the operation and had no concerns that Mr Dutta was the correct person to do the laparoscopic procedure which took place 27/11/2023. As expected all went well . Clearly no one wants to have an operation but if you do need this particular problem solving I would highly recommend My Dutta and the team at Woodthorpe hospital.
